Loyal clients are priceless.
I've been photographing Logan every year for the past four years. I can't tell you how much it means to me when clients return year after year. With so many photographers to choose from, it's an honor when someone refers to you as "my photographer". It's also really great to watch a little girl blossom into a beautiful young lady.

A week with Hanson Fong

It was a great privilege and honor to spend a week assisting Hanson Fong at Triangle Institute of Professional Photographers in Pittsburgh last week. Hanson is one of the greatest wedding photographers in the world, and I learned so much in his class. I also really enjoyed hanging out with him and getting to know him personally. He is a very dedicated instructor as well as amazing photographer.

Blair County Home and Garden Show 2009
Come visit our booth at the Blair County Home and Garden Show this weekend at the Jaffa Shrine. Let us show you how to decorate your home with portraits. See our new designer gallery wraps and coffee table books. While you are there drop your name in the bowl to win a free portrait session and a wall portrait. Here are a few photos of our booth taken with my cell phone. Hope to see you there!

PP of WV
This weekend I had the opportunity to go to the Professional Photographers of WV's convention. It was so fun to hang out with my WV friends and hear some great speakers as well. I really enjoyed meeting David Schwartz from Springfield, VA and his buddies Sam Hughes two very talented wedding photographers.
I also learned a ton listening to Dave Junion's program on photographing high school seniors. Dave is a very energetic and creative individual whose work is so inspiring.
Perhaps the best part of the weekend was hanging out with two of my very best friends, Cheryl Campbell and Becky Homich. I love you both!

Craftsman Degrees
If you follow our blog you know that Tamar and I recently attended Imaging USA, a.k.a. the Professional Photographers of America's annual convention. While we were there we received our Photographic Craftsman Degrees. This is a degree earned by teaching photography to other professional photographers at PPA affiliate organizations. Tamar and I have been traveling around the country for the past two years giving programs on marketing, thus earning the merits required for this degree.
What does this mean to you, as a client? It shows you our dedication to the profession of photography. While photography is a hobby on the weekend for some people, it is a career and passion that we not only continue to study ourselves, but also share what we have learned to help other professional photographers as well.
So when you see our awards and degrees, know this: we are competing, studying and teaching photography because we want to rise to the top of this profession. We are not content to sit back on our knowlege that we possess today, but we strive to continually grow and become more creative so that our images will be powerful and unforgettable.
